Hope Enterprises, Inc.

Hope Enterprises, Inc. has been enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities since 1952 by providing comprehensive services and caring support. The Hope Foundation was established in 1987 to drive the opportunity for impact, development, resources and education to people with disabilities, their families and to our community at Hope Enterprises.

 

River Valley Regional YMCA-Bradford County Branch

No matter who you are or what neighborhood you grow up in, the Y is a place for everyone who needs us and we give everyone the opportunity to reach full potential. The Y is a place of possibility and supports individuals in our community with programs that protect, teach, connect, nourish, and encourage.

 

Boy Scouts of America, Juniata Valley Council

The Juniata Valley Council, BSA is a leader in serving over 1,700 from grade K to the age of 21 in the Central Pennsylvania Counties of Centre, Huntingdon, Juniata, and Mifflin. Our mission is to prepare every eligible young person to become a responsible, participating citizen and to prepare every youth to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes.

 

Mifflin County 4-H Camp at Penn Roosevelt

Built from the efforts of the Civilian Conservation Corporation in 1933, the Penn Roosevelt Camp was purchased by Mifflin County 4-H in 1966. Sitting adjacent to Penn Roosevelt State Park and Mid-State Trail, Penn Roosevelt has served as a weekend retreat for many youth serving organizations.

 

Penns Valley Hope Fund

The HOPE Fund was established in June 2008 when one of the Penns Valley residents was diagnosed with a rare lung cancer and had to go to Germany for the surgery. With the un-used funds, it was decided amongst many of our current Board of Directors to establish a Christian based non-denominational, non-profit organization dedicated to helping other people every day (HOPE).

 

Dreams Go On

Dreams Go On is a therapeutic horseback riding program for riders with emotional and/or physical challenges. For someone who is unable to walk, the horse allows them the experience of walking and a sense of freedom, leaving their wheelchair behind.

 

Mill Cove

Mill Cove, Inc. manages approximately 200 acres of leased U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ land known as the Mill Cove Environmental Area. The mission of Mill Cove, Inc. is to facilitate the enhancement of the Mill Cove Environmental Area for recreational and environmental education purposes for current and future use.

 

ACRES Project

By providing a nurturing environment that fosters independence, self-advocacy, socialization, and work/life skills, the ACRES Project serves the needs of individuals with autism by helping these vital members of our community build a foundation for a productive, independent life.
